As another review pointed out, this show looks great effects-wise and was cancelled without getting a complete season or a resolved ending. (The DVD set contains 13 episodes and a few special features.) Having said that, I found it to be bingeable and a good way to get introduced to Matt Ryan as John Constantine before seeing him appear briefly on "Arrow" and more regularly on "Legends of Tomorrow"'s Seasons 3 (recurring), 4, and 5 (series regular), which helps continue Constantine's story after this show. Does have scary, horror-movie moments. May want to watch it in the daytime.

Watched disk one and scanned disk two. Decided not to continue looking many more hours of occult adventures of John Constantine (JC), Chas and Zed. Reason to check out this series is to learn more about Chas Chandler/ Kramer and Astra Logue who piqued my interest from Keanu Reeves's 2005 "Constantine" film and the 2018 animated "Constantine City of Demons: The Movie." However, realize that the long series will be about new demons and sorcerers... and no more Astra back story after the first episode. Not my cup of tea.

This series is of high production quality and has a great story line. However, it was cancelled after only one season with the last line in the last episode being an important plot point with no resolution.
While the case says the DVD is might not work on a computer's DVD player, I used the VLC DVD software on Windows 10 and it worked perfectly.
I recommend the series as long as the viewer is aware that it ends without concluding the story.

A spectacularly underrated show that was cancelled too early in my opinion. The show is based on the DC paranormal horror comicbook series Hellblazer, and I suspect viewers were expecting it to be a superhero show. To be fair, Constantine is part of multiple superhero teams in the comics. But the show was more of a horror detective-mystery than the action horror that it was advertised as. There was a push to get the CW network to take up the show, but it never panned out. Though the show was cancelled, the character has appeared on CW's The Arrow, and is set to have a continuing animated show beginning in late 2017 on CW's seed network.

as i watched these episodes i noticed several characters of the D.C. universe,Dr.Fates helmet, an Investigator known as Jim Corrigan (The Spectre) and was impressed by the special effects!!

NBC's biggest mistake was cancelling this show! That was the biggest crime in television history since FOX cancelled Firefly. Matt Ryan is I dare say, the perfect personification of John Constantine. His speech, accent, outfit and chain-smoking are absolutely spot on. Manny and Zed are also really interesting/intriguing characters. Chas is the only inaccurate part of the show. He is actually British with dark hair and no beard. There are many other Hellblazer characters like Papa Midnight and a few members of John's Newcastle crew.
