Friends Piggie and Gerald having another relationship adventure with Piggie trying to get Gerald to try her stinky pig slop. Hilarious illustrations and easy understanding of what is going on between the two characters. Great book to show how a friend can be willing to try something even though they know they won't like it... but with limitations.

I thought this was a great way to teach kids to always try different foods even if you know you won't like it. It lets kids know that it can hurt others feelings when you don't try something they took the time to make. SPOILER ALERT - Gerald Does Not like slop!

All Elephant and Piggie books are fantastic, but this one get extra points for grossness! One of our family favorites!

Elephant and Piggie are best friends. But, will Piggie push their friendship past the limit when he asks Elephant to try his freshly made slop? At first, Elephant was unsure about the smelly slop, but because Piggie was his friend, Elephant took one teeny tiny bite. Elephant turned green, purple, yellow, orange and even was covered in spots. Do you think Elephant survived the taste test?

Mo Willems has created another fun easy reader featuring Elephant and Piggie. Simple words in bold jump off the page adding extra excitement to the storyline. Easy to mimic illustrations with a basic color pallet enhance the story. Parents and teachers can use this guide to discuss food that kids like and don’t like. It is also a great way to convince kids to at least try something once.
