I really enjoyed the book. It starts off with the Heroine writing her thoughts and feelings out to a friend of her brothers in letters that are never to be sent. The friend years later is a spy for the crown. It was a fun book that tells the story of how the relationship develops and a bit of mystery is involved.

Love this author, love this clean series, and this book. Moves along well and has a happy ending after many complexities.

I loved this book. Well written, engaging, exciting, and funny. The story flows really well and the characters are nicely developed. It's my favorite book from the Hawthorne series.

I think of all of the Hawthorne series, this one has to be my favorite.
The characters have a bit more depth and adventure. Marshington, as a duke, actually makes use of his skills rather than sit around having servants wait on him all day. His servants are quite the characters too!
Miranda has a little more depth than setting her sights on moving up the social ladder.

Sometimes regency novels can make the characters out to be so stuffy and unapproachable. This one does a better job in that department.

I plowed through this book in a couple of days. It was a very good mystery!

Loved this novel!!! Cannot wait for the next book coming soon!! Truly enjoyed the main characters a wonderful regency romantic story filled with mystery and crime!!!
