Add a CommentI love reading this book so much! It is a really light, and humorous reading. It has a great story line, and wonderful pictures! I never get tired of reading it. It follows the story of a girl named Pinkalicoius who loves pink. She makes pink cupcakes with her brother, and mom. Once they come out of the oven she can’t stop eating them (something I think we can all relate too). The next day she turns pink! She goes to the doctor, and they tell her she has to eat a lot of green veggies for the pink to go away. She doesn’t like veggies, and doesn’t eat greens. That night she sneaks into the kitchen, and eats one more pink cupcake. She is shocked at what happened to her overnight after she ate another cupcake. Read the book to find out! I recommend this for young readers. Older readers might still like it too!
The child is definitely a brat, but learns from her mistake so it worked. It's a fun story and gives me another tool to discourage eating too many sweets! The illustrations are wonderful. We've read it at nap time and bedtime without fail since we picked it up from the library so it's a hit!
The story is great and the food illustrations are so appetizing.
My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter LOVES this book. I checked out three Pinkalicious books and this is the only one she'll let me read to her. (she loves to look at the others by herself). She can tell me the story pretty much page by page now. I have to read it to her 2 or 3 times in a row when we do read it. Yes, Pinkalicious is a bit naughty, but I like that her parents are firm when telling her no, and my granddaughter understands it.
This is an adorable book! It is a great book for those who love all things pink. It is a funny story about a girl who learns that eating too many pink cupcakes can have serious consequences…I highly recommend this picture book (and there are many books in this series) for young readers and even adults looking for a laugh! Fun
Really disliked the bratty main character who should have been spanked every time she opened her mouth. Can't think of redeeming qualities; may or may not pick up anything else from this author
This book is great. It is so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so funny. I didn't like this book, I loved it so much.
My 3-year-old daughter and I really enjoyed Pinkalicious, and I'm considering purchasing it because we've read it so much and it doesn't get old.
