Quite enjoyed this one. Not to complicated but not totally predictable either, good read.
This is one of the better Adam Dalgliesh series mysteries.
This murder mystery is also a legal thriller, set as it is partly in London's Old Bailey. When a highly respected QC is murdered in her chambers, Adam Dalgliesh at first thinks the case will be relatively simple. The potential set of suspects is small, after all. Then another murder turns up, clearly related to the first, and all bets are off. To complicate matters, Dalgliesh's team isn't quite as tight-knit as usual, making his job harder. A real page turner, which he pulls out only at the last minute. I'd have given it 5 stars, but as the number of suspects proliferates, it gets a bit difficult to keep track of them. Just go along for the ride, and enjoy the surprises.
