No matter how brief your visit to country where even a remote possibility exists for encountering an aggressive Ursus, you need to remember a concept that has been weaned from your instinctual cognitions long ago, and our Human arrogance would rather it remain forgotten.
While you're in such wilds.....YOU ARE NO LONGER THE APEX SPECIES.
You are ..IN.. the food chain now, not that top-rung meat-hook the rest of it hangs from.

------------------------------ FYI.
In 1815, Lewis & Clark's naturalist George Ord classified the North American Brown Bear subspecies of Grizzly Bear.
Just..some perspective:
He named them Ursus arctos......."HORRIBIL"-(IS)........for a reason!
Just ..sayin'.
