My first Amos Decker book. Wish these authors would pick different names. I already have Peter Decker in my head. And not sure about the bad guys. Were they billionaires with unlimited time and talents? All the clues in code and at times…

Been reading a lot of detective books of late and I would say this has been the best read. Could not put the book down. Looking forward to reading more about Amos Decker and his exploits.

Starts out very slow. I stuck with it because of the author, glad I did. Turned out to be a great read and a character I am looking forward to follow.

Fast pace narrative; the main character was well stitched together to leave a vivid image in readers' mind, though a little unfair to have such an infallible memory of every thing he has ever encountered.

First Baldacci book I have read, now I know why readers rave about him. Memory Man, the first book in the Amos Decker series, will keep you wanting more! Just a warning... once you read this one, you will be rushing to read the entire…

Being stuck at home in suburban Seattle in the state of Washington in the United States has given me lots of time to catch on books by favorite, and new to me, authors. DAVID BALDACCI falls into the “favorites” category. I previously have…

Kindle Immersion Read Interesting mystery and story line. Kudos for very little in the way of profanity, a sign of a brilliant wordsmith who knows how not to offend his audience, despite the subject matter. Personally, a tad too long as…

Listened to this book while traveling. So let me begin my review about Audiobooks. If you are planning a trip, especially by car, Audiobooks are great. This book, being a suspense mystery, was just the ticket for my two day trip. instead…

David Baldacci has written some decent thrillers, but this isn't one of them Starts with a comic book hero -- a retired cop with memory super powers -- the plot drags and the ending is ridiculous. Beyond far-fetched -- completely…

Amos Decker is the key protagonist in David Baldacci's "Memory Man." He's a calculated man with a tragic backstory. Decker had a terrible accident during the one play he got to run in the NFL. Through the quite literal scrambling of his…

Amos Decker is called on again to solve crime. Baldacci takes us from the start through the working of Amos' mind. There are some interesting twists that makes the story interesting but it was typical Baldacci. It wasn't has suspenseful…

This book was good but abit too long. And it seemed like Baldacci set up some scenarios that he kind of forgot about and later added as an afterthought. So it was a little disjointed. As the book progressed, his writing went off-story and…

Like in a Beautiful Mind great mind power does not seem to accommodate any sort of real personality or emotion. It will be interesting to see where Baldacci leads us with this character. They do walk among us.

I love the way Baldacci writes! I've read about a half dozen of his books and enjoyed this one. The main character is captivating and I do plan to read the sequel. Having said that, this was not my favorite of his works, and the way it…

I enjoyed the book but I thought it was a bit long. Seemed to drag out the ending. I did like the main characters and hope there is a sequel.

The first sentence of the novel is captivating, and Baldacci writes In a manner that holds that interest throughout the story. The negative I find with this novel is that everything seems plausible and really lends to its mystery, but…

I won't lie, I had a hard time putting this book down. I wanted to know who did it and why they did it. However, the ending did not work for me. It was as if it was an afterthought. I didn't buy into the villian(s) because they were kind…

A page turner though with one or two clues that required readers' leap of faith. On the other hand, we read and hear of the strangest & cruelest things people do everyday. I can see another book or two featuring Amos, the memory man, in…
